ELEFIR


Description

Elefir-EN is a software for the evaluation of the fire resistance of carbon and stainless steel members loaded about the strong axis or about the weak axis, according to EN 1991-1-2 and EN 1993-1-2.
Calculations can be performed in the time domain, resistance domain and temperature domain. Elefir-EN is an essential tool for structural engineers in the design office, enabling quick and accurate calculations to be produced, reducing design time and the probability of errors in the application of the equations. It can also be used by academics and students.

In order to install the complete version of the software you will have to register it with a valid Bookcode that is part of the book "Fire Design of Steel Structures", ECCS Ed.
If you don't have a valid Bookcode you will be able to use only a limited version (demonstration) of the software.
To obtain a valid Bookcode you need to buy the book "Fire Design of Steel Structures", ECCS Ed. wich is available for purchase at www.eccspublications.eu.

OSSA2D


Description

Ce programme est un logiciel d'analyse élastique de structures planes, comportant un large catalogue de profilés, de types de charge et de matériaux. Il permet également de tenir compte des nœuds semi-rigides et des effets de second ordre P-Delta. L'introduction des données et la visualisation des résultats se fait dans un environnement très convivial permettant un accès aisé aux différentes options du logiciel. Parmi les fonctionnalités récemment introduites, on trouve entre autres le calcul des charges critiques et des modes propres de la structure et le calcul et la représentation des lignes d’influence. OZone V2


Description

The user-friendly software OZone V2 calculates the evolution of the gas temperature in a compartment under fire and evaluates the fire resistance of simple steel elements submitted to these compartment fires. It is based on a 1 or 2 zones description of the situation, with an automatic transition from 2 to 1 zone situation under certain circumstances.
The software is available for download to the general public (please register by sending an e-mail to Jean-Marc Franssen). RELEASE : 2.2.2
  • download the folder ozone.zip and unzip files in a folder.
  • clic on setup.exe
  • follow the wizard instructions

SAFIR (See Website)


Description

"SAFIR" is a finite element model for the behaviour of structures in fire. This software calculates :
  • the evolution of the temperatures in a structure submitted to the fire,
  • the evolution of the equilibrium conditions (stresses, strains, displacements, moments, etc.) of the heated structure until failure.
Large displacements and non linear material properties are taken into account in a 2D or 3D structure.
Some example files, as well as the graphic preprocessor and postprocessor and additional information are available for download to the general public. The full version of the calculation software is not available to the general public. A free demonstration version can be ordered for evaluation, demonstration, research or education purposes.
