Between 2006 and 2010, the TIMODAZ European project has investigated the coupled thermal-hydro-mechanical (THM) effects in clay formations that are being studied as potential host rocks for geological disposal of radioactive waste.
The International post - TIMODAZ Workshop, that will take place at the Mont Terri rock laboratory, is organized to present the main TIMODAZ results; to present other contributions in the area of the THM analysis of nuclear waste disposal systems; to foster informal discussions and exchanges on THM issues in clays host rocks.
Part of the programme is dedicated to external contributions and poster sessions. Contributions could include the characterization of host rock materials, the description and analysis of underground laboratory experiments, microstructural and multiscale analysis, constitutive and numerical modeling and long-term behaviour.
